Whether our customers are local or international, we know that everyone wants to feel special on their wedding day and we not only do that by creating their dream gown but we also help them feel special in the lead up to the wedding. We offer an unforgettable experience to celebrate you, your body and your love story.
What would you like couples to know about your business?
Holly Butler is a small business and we have a maximum of three people working in our team at one time. Our clientele includes people from all over Australia and the world! We travel frequently for work and like to offer in-person fittings with our international customers as well. If you have an incredible vision, we’d love to hear form you, no matter where you are!
Where is your boutique based?
Our Atelier is based in Melbourne, Australia. We make everything here and can travel globally to you for fittings and delivery.
Tell us about your newest collection!
Our new collection is inspired by nostalgia. What brings up the feelings of being a bride and embodies a fresh perspective on gowns we loved as children.
How would you describe your brand's style?
We always design our gowns with a focus in construction and fit for the individual wearing it. This immaculate construction is then paired with our unique take on whimsy and elegance to create something soft and romantic.
Tell us about your favourite piece/design!
We’ve recently been in love with European lace! European laces have a quality that beats no other and it’s becoming a more exclusive material to work with. Our Jean gown showcases a beautiful Italian lace with a simple silhouette. For dramatic contrast, we’ve paired the gown with a billowing satin cape reminiscent of 1950’s Hollywood.
Where are your gowns made?
All our pieces are made in our Melbourne Atelier with fabrics sourced from all over the world.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
We offer a minimum of 3 fittings per customer. This ensures that the gown is comfortable and supportive to wear and that the design also works in 3-d. We often refine the design during this process as you’re wearing it. It truly comes alive and becomes a part of you!
What inspires you/ inspired your latest collection?
Our latest collection was inspired by some of our favourite designers and their archive collections. Think Oscar De La Renta and Monique Lhuillier. We then paired this with our fresh take on Couture and the Melbourne fashion scene.
Who is your dream client?
Someone who has a love affair with fashion. We always love taking on the hardest of challenges and coming up with creative solutions to insane ideas. Trusting in the creative process isn’t for everyone but putting your trust in the right person to do the job is something we’re proud to offer.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Trust in the right vendors. Do you like their previous work and ‘vibe’? Follow your instinct on who has the right personality and style to do the job. Do you like the communication? And when you talk to them, are you excited for your wedding day? Sometimes paying a little extra to get your ideal vendor is worth it.
