Tell us about your business!

I am a Sydney based Wedding Filmmaker who has a love for fusing human connection and artful romanticism with energy and elegance into a story that’s a work of art.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I’m not your average wedding videographer that delivers your average wedding film. I believe in a fine art approach to wedding filmmaking and value an elevated and editorial approach that showcases personality and uniqueness.

Where are you based?

I am based in Sydney, Australia.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely. I maintain availability for destination weddings within my season.

How would you describe your style?

My style blends energy with elegance, but at its core, its story driven and impacted by the connection of my couple’s personalities and values.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Although a few come to mind, one stands out above the rest. A bride’s father was unable to attend his daughter’s wedding due to illness. It was that very next day news came in he was given days to live. I created a film specifically dedicated to the bride’s father to ensure this wonderful man could experience the joy of marriage for his little girl. As a father myself, this is a career moment that will I cherish forever.

What inspires you?

Life, family, human connection, love, art and showcasing the beauty of personality and character.

What motivates you to do what you do?

My two daughters are my true north in life and keep me grounded. They motivate me to be the best filmmaker I can be and personally approve all my films before they leave the studio.

How would you describe your working style?

My working style can be described as calm, creative and detail focused. I purposely storyboard all my couples to selectively piece together elements of their story. I am heavily influenced to create art that’s representative – a feeling of connection to how others see the world. It’s this information that allows me to create my couple’s films with a sense of uniqueness that’s aligned with them, to incorporate specific camera movements or ways of shooting to create a specific feeling or emotional impact. My style blends unconventional filmmaking techniques to a modern and editorial storytelling approach.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I  am a mixed medium artist who shoots on both digital and Super 8 film.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

I create custom proposals for my interstate and international couples, and have a range of packages that suit my local clients.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Although very popular at the moment, shooting with Super 8 film has always been a favourite of mine. In a world of perfection and order, super 8 film is the opposite. It’s grainy, blurry, inconsistent and heavy in artefact, yet – it’s perfection.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I would love to travel to Puglia, or Santorini, or New York, or Madrid. I think you get the picture.

Who is your dream client?

As a wedding videographer with a passion for the art. I am looking for those who value having their story told and attracted to the elements within my work. I truly believe it’s important to find the right wedding videographer for you and your partner, one that you can connect with, be yourself with and trust in their creative process to produce a film that will be cherished for generations. When couples tell me they’ve been on the hunt for a wedding videographer and could not connect with anyone until they’ve found me, that’s when I know I’ve found my dream client.

How do you select music for your films?

My story process allows me to understand so many elements within my client’s life that brings joy and happiness which allows me to select music that aligns with their story. Music is something that is pivotal in my work as an artist, it influences the emotional impact, the direction and feeling within a story and I use multiple songs within my films to bring a sense of changing energy.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Determine your negotiables and non-negotiables. What are the priorities that mean the most to you? Let those priorities drive your decisions to stay more aligned with each other. Also, investing in wedding vendors who align with your own vision and values paints the pathway for a stronger vendor team that elevates your wedding day.
