Tell us about Jonne Amaya!
We are a fine jewelry studio specializing in metal-focused designs and custom engagement pieces, tailored for alternative couples. We prioritize working closely with our clients, so all of our pieces are made to order and never ready to ship. This approach allows us to meet our customers’ unique needs, whether it's design adjustments, full customization, or incorporating inherited stones.
With six years of experience in the industry, we've chosen to shift our focus this year primarily to engagement. We emphasize elopements over traditional weddings, promoting the beauty of intimate ceremonies, curated gatherings and the value of custom design.
What would you like couples to know about your business?
I love the feel of an old-world business, where there’s a real, personal connection between the jeweler and the client, built on trust and craftsmanship. I don’t see us as just a brand, I much prefer to be considered a personal jeweler. Most of my customers feel comfortable enough to text me.
Where are your boutiques/stores based?
We are based in Los Angeles, with our studio located in the Jewelry District of Downtown. We don’t operate retail stores or partner with other boutiques, instead we prioritize a more intimate, one-on-one approach. We often do house-calls as well.
How would you describe your brands style?
For us, both the diamond and the metal are equally important, each playing a central role in our designs. Our pieces are crafted to highlight the beauty of both elements, ensuring the metal is just as much a focal point as the diamond itself. This balance defines our aesthetic, creating alternative well-composed designs that stand apart from traditional styles.

Tell us about your favourite piece/design!
One of my favorite engagement rings is our Luna or Cinnabon setting—both of which truly embody our design style. These pieces feature bold, sculptural metalwork that creates fluid swirls and movement, yet they remain substantial. Unlike the delicate, ornamental swirls often seen in traditional designs, our approach embraces presence, ensuring each ring feels as powerful as it is elegant.
Where are your jewellery pieces made?
All of our pieces are made to order in DTLA. We really pride ourselves on not having any stock and truly create each piece intentionally for the customer.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
I love offering repurposing services. it’s one of the most meaningful aspects of my work. Many of my clients come to me wanting to blend metals from both sides of their families, creating a piece that symbolizes the merging of two histories. There’s something incredibly special about taking heirloom materials and transforming them into a new chapter of a love story.
Who is your dream client?
I love working with clients who aren’t just certificate buyers. those who understand that a grading report doesn’t tell the whole story of a diamond’s beauty. There are so many incredible stones out there that may not have “perfect” scores on paper but possess unmatched character, fire, and brilliance in real life. The customers who approach the process with an open mind are the ones who end up with the most exceptional diamonds.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Engagement is a deeply significant symbol of commitment and a shared future. It deserves to be as bold and intentional as the relationship it represents. That’s why I encourage clients to embrace sculptural designs that go beyond the replicated and traditional. A ring should be more than just a diamond on a band—it should tell a story, feel powerful, and reflect the individuality of the wearer.
