Capturing the Y2K aesthetic that is generating so much impact in contemporary fashion, Metabride comes from the intention of reflecting the digital influence in the wedding world and the essence of post-millennial lovers that are yet to come.
Inspired by hyper-connectivity, online relationships, the mixture of the natural and the digital, the virtual and the real, the creative team produced this editorial from a perspective of technological nostalgia.
Captured by Cecilia Álvarez-Hevia of Dias De Vino Y Rosas, the colour palette was chosen based on the range of colours emitted by screens (RGB, red, green and blue) and the mixture that occurs when combining them. Looks, styled by Raúl Madrid with creative direction by Aldara Álvarez are focused on futuristic and minimalistic lines, moving away from the usual structures of a wedding look and aligning closer with that of a contemporary anti-bride.
So if technology already is part of our present, what will the future of weddings hold?
