What would you like couples to know about you?

Is it possible to be too detail oriented? If so, I might be guilty. It makes sense that I ended up capturing weddings for a living. I’m a bit more reserved, but feed off the energy of a wedding day as I place a large emotional investment into each one of my couples. I’m a fashion forward fellow who loves documenting and curating everything at my disposal in life. Weddings bring my favorite elements together and infuse the human condition - It’s magic.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I am willing to travel to where you are!

How would you describe your style?

I approach each wedding like it’s a blank slate narratively speaking. The energy and space I’m operating within plays an important role in how I document. I too ebb and flow with moments that present themselves, which results in a unique story every time. I always want my images to feel dynamic with some editorial flair. It’s hands-off and relaxed, but it’s also guided when necessary.

What is your most memorable career moment?

I would say for every couple that has trusted in me to capture their day, I leave a little piece of myself with that day. The memories live through me and through the photos I capture, and for that I’m always grateful.

What inspires you?

Simply existing. There’s inspiration all around us in so many different forms. I find it in the smallest of places and I think that’s what has led me to photography. I am a curious person at my core. There is beauty in the mundane and there’s always a story to be told. Weddings are the culmination of everything I enjoy: loved ones who matter most, a reason to look your best, and fleeting human connection that can only be captured once. My creative brain is always on as life is always happening.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot on both.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes, I have a few base packages in addition to several al la carte options that allow for a fully customizable wedding offering. Smaller, intimate weddings and elopements usually include a custom proposal on my end once I hear more about the day.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Film photography. Film offers an imperfect balance to digital. Nothing beats the feeling acquired from seeing your photos on film. The grain, the color - all unmatched.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

Probably NYC. I think the creative playground afforded there is unmatched. Also, anywhere on the west coast.

Who is your dream client?

Couples who are fully present. Being fully enthralled in your day and focused on the love you have for each other. Aesthetically driven is a plus and pride in going against the grain helps, but that stuff means nothing without the importance of the day shining through.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Be as present as possible!
