Tell us about your business!

Prior to embarking on my photography career, I worked for many years as a lawyer, before finally  embracing a more creative life. I initially began my photography journey working in the travel and fashion space, before I very organically began capturing weddings and elopements.

Wedding photography continues to bring me an immense sense of joy and personal alignment as it combines so many of my passions - travel, art, fashion and a genuine love of connecting with people. I am so incredibly grateful for what I do, and am constantly pinching myself that I get to call this work.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I bring with me a genuine care, warmth and calmness to all that I do. I have always found that the most  gorgeous and compelling imagery emerges when space is created for people to feel at ease, and that is always my intention, to create a safe and relaxed space for my couples to be totally present in each moment of their day, that is where the magic and joy lies.

Where are you based?

I am based in South East Queensland, however I capture weddings across Australia and Europe.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely - I have had the pleasure of capturing weddings across Australia and Europe, so when it comes to love, nowhere is too far. I began my photography career, working across Australia and Europe  capturing unique stays, experiences and landscapes with my husband and will happily accept any excuse to pack my bags and set off on a new adventure.

How would you describe your style?

My style can best be described as relaxed and timeless with a modern editorial flare.

There are so many unique elements to weddings, from the styling, to the weather, to the scenery - these elements set the tone for your day and it is my intention to capture and preserve these elements in the most authentically beautiful way possible. Preserving true to life colours and tones is a key feature of my work, and infuses my imagery with a modern polish and timeless quality.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Having the opportunity to capture weddings across London, Italy and the South of France has definitely been a career highlight, and I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to return to Europe each summer to capture even more magic during the summer months.

What inspires you?

I am constantly inspired by, and draw inspiration from editorial works, travel, unique landscapes, art and  of course, the uniqueness of each beautiful couple that steps in front of my lens. So often my greatest sources  of inspiration come from elements completely removed from the wedding industry, providing an endless  source of inspiration, evolution and excitement. Fashion is a huge source of inspiration for me, and you will often find my peeling through the pages of editorial works for inspiration. At the end of the day however, it  is my couples that inspire and guide me the most as I get the absolute privilege of getting to know and support them so closely.

How would you describe your working style?

I capture weddings in a modern, relaxed, editorial style fusing together documentary and editorial style  elements to curate a visual story that is not only absolutely gorgeous, personal and timeless, but totally  authentic to the beautiful couples in front of my lens.

I believe the most compelling and authentic imagery is created when couples are given the perfect balance of creative guidance and, at the same time, enough space and time, to be themselves, breathe and soak in each wildly love-filled moment of their wedding day. My intention is always to gently guide and support my couples through every step of their wedding experience so their day is filled with nothing but love and warmth, right up until the very last glass of champagne is poured. The end result is a gorgeous collection of gently compelling visuals which capture not only how divine your day looked, but how those moments truly felt.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

All of my packages include both digital and 35mm film elements.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Absolutely - I am always so happy to customise packages to reflect each couple’s unique vision for their  celebrations - from intimate elopements, to multi-day celebrations there really is no limit.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

I love the gentle nostalgia of shooting 35mm film, and the intentional and slower approach shooting film requires on a wedding day. Film offers yet another lens through which to capture and remember your day and I really love the authenticity and rawness that film adds to a final gallery.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

New Zealand and the Amalfi Coast are absolutely on my wedding/elopement bucket list. I have been  fortunate enough to explore these landscapes as part of my travel work, however I would so love to capture an elopement or wedding at either of these iconic locations - did someone say Aperol Spritz?

Who is your dream client?

My dream clients are - very simply - those that are madly in love and that connect with my work. Wedding photography is very much a collaboration between the couple and photographer, so ensuring there is a genuine connection and alignment between me and my couples is very important to me. My intention is not only to capture the day in a beautiful way, but to truly support and care for my couples throughout their wedding journey. I love getting to know my couples and their story prior to the wedding day, so when the day unfolds, it genuinely feels like I am just another friend there to love and support them through this next chapter of their story.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Throw out any traditions or elements that do not resonate with you and make your day as personal and  “you” as you want. There truly are no rules when it comes to weddings any more, which creates a blank  canvas for couples to curate a day that truly reflects them. Take the time to consider what elements are important to you and how you want to actually “feel” on your day - once this vision is clear in your mind, the rest will fall into place.
