What would you like couples to know about you?

Even though I have documented my first wedding 20 years ago, it still moves me deeply. Having been married myself for many years, I understand how these photographs become even more precious as time passes and how emotional it is to look at them decades later.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Germany, and while most of my clients come from Berlin, I absolutely love to travel. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings for both German and international couples all over the world.

How would you describe your style?

Given the value of my own wedding photos, my priority is to capture the emotional and intimate moments by creating timeless images. I want my photographs to be modern and on-trend, yet they should still look and feel just as wonderful 20 years from now.

What is your most memorable career moment?

When I photographed my first weddings that were uniquely designed in a style I truly loved—creative, artistic, authentic, and fun, with an emphasis on people and celebration rather than tradition—I realized that this was where I could create my best work. It was where I felt the most joy, and where I truly connected with my clients on a deeper level.

What inspires you?

Family and friends mean everything to me, and I believe in celebrating love and life with the people who matter most. This is exactly what I aim to capture in the weddings I photograph, knowing how deeply the couples (and their guests) will treasure these images for years to come.

Having photographed so many people over the years, I've witnessed several weddings where family members or guests passed away shortly after, making my photos the last memories of them.

This experience motivates me to always encourage couples to include family portraits on their wedding day and inspires me to capture plenty of candid moments with parents and grandparents.

How would you describe your working style?

I work best when I feel connected to my clients and their wedding community. I’m not a fly on the wall — I enjoy mingling and chatting with families and guests.

During portraits and family photos, I offer direction when needed, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and knows exactly what to do. For the rest of the day, I take a more documentary-style approach, capturing moments as they naturally unfold.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot both film and digital. Since all the images from my childhood and even from my own wedding were captured on film, this look holds a deep emotional significance for me—it’s more than just a trend. That said, I also appreciate the reliability and control that digital photography offers, and it plays a crucial role in my work.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Absolutely! Before sending a personalized offer, I always schedule a video call or meeting with my couples. I want to hear what matters most to them, how they’re planning their day or weekend, and together we can discuss which package makes the most sense for their needs. We’ll also go over any adjustments or tweaks that might be necessary to ensure everything is perfect.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

I love capturing a weekend away with a group of family and friends, either in an urban space or a house full of character tucked away in the countryside. Many of my clients have loved ones from all over the world, and often begin the celebration with a gathering the night before the wedding.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I love the energy of urban spaces, and I enjoy capturing weddings in cities like Berlin, New York, L.A., Copenhagen, Milan and Marseille, just to name a few!

But if you book me for a wedding at a Masseria in Puglia or at Hotel Corazon in the mountains of Mallorca, I’ll be absolutely thrilled!

Who is your dream client?

My dream clients get excited about fashion, design, art and photography. Wedding traditions don’t mean much to them. They are madly in love and just want a beautiful party with all the important people in their lives.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Before you start planning, sit down together and identify your priorities. What is most important to you when it comes to your wedding? Who absolutely needs to be there? What look and feel do you want? What services are non-negotiable? This will help guide where most of your time and budget should be invested. And, of course, choose a great location—it will set the stage for everything that happens and for all your photos.

And when it comes to your wedding photographer, don’t compromise. You might be able to save a few dollars, but it’s not worth feeling uncomfortable with the person you’ll spend the most time with on your wedding day. Plus, you don’t want to be disappointed with your photos later. Once the cake is eaten, the hangover is gone, and your dress is tucked away in the attic, the images are what remains with you forever.
