Knowing each other for almost 20 years and with over 15 years of combined photography experience, Emily and Shea of Emily Gude Photo have a trust and connection that produces authentic imagery. The duo have a shared love for capturing the layers of emotion and design that come with weddings. Emily Gude Photo are based in Washington D.C. and have worked across the globe including in New York, Austria, and Japan.
What would you like couples to know about you?
We care deeply about our clients. We care about what you’re wearing, where you’re getting married, who will be there, how the day will go. We are not the photographers to just show up, take some pictures and give you pictures, we are fully invested in being there for you to give you the best experience and get the most of your photographs.
What motivates you to do what you do?
Shea and I are a photography duo. We’ve known each other for over 20 years. We have a trust and connection that makes working together so fun and thoughtful. We are obsessed with weddings and every detail small or big. We love the fashion, relationships, and the little sentimental details. We care for each and every one of our clients like they are our own best friend’s wedding.
What is a favourite service of your business?
Our favorite service that we offer is our full wedding experience. We love it simply because we get to be there for our couples at it’s most, from engagement session to wedding day, sometimes the welcome party, to making their wedding albums and dleivering their tangible photographs.
How would you describe your style?
We are a fine balance between candid and editorial. We strive for those magazine worthy images that are genuinly caught moments that arent contrived. We have a documentary eye with your details and the style in mind.

Someone who is an Anti-Bride. Anyone willing to go beyond societal norms to make their wedding dreams come true.

The day Shea, my photography partner, joined Emily Gude Photo.

People in love being fabulous and enjoying their surroundings.

We love metropolitan locations. Anything with great interior design, take us there!

Nowhere is like Japan!

Go for it! It’s your big day! Have your cake and eat it too (while wearing Prada).
