The privilege of being immersed in love, sharing my art with couples who will cherish these photos forever, is beyond words. I am eternally grateful for the trust my couples place in me, and I'm excited for the love stories yet to be told through my creative lens.
What would you like couples to know about Jac Lee Weddings?
I want couples to know that my wedding photography is all about celebrating their unique love story. I'm here to make you feel comfortable, allowing your true, unfiltered selves to shine through. Think of our session as an adventure, a date where I happen to be there capturing the magic. No stiff, awkward poses – just you and your love, basking in the moment, beautifully documented by my lens and the breathtaking surroundings.
With a blend of 35mm film and digital photography, your day is captured authentically, while ensuring it's damn aesthetic at the same time!
Where are you based?
Between Brisbane, Noosa and the Gold Coast, Australia. I am also in the US and Europe each year!
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! Absolutely anywhere!
How would you describe your style?
With a bold, elegant and celebratory approach, I enjoy capturing the small moments and intricate details throughout the day in a creative way. Each wedding is unique, which is what I love the most.
What is your most memorable career moment?
One of the highlights of my career was capturing the magic of a two-day multicultural wedding in the picturesque setting of Tuscany. It was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the incredible bride and groom who chose me to be a part of their journey. They invited me to travel to Italy to document their special moments after finding me on Instagram and loving my photographic style, making it an incredibly cherished career memory.
What inspires you?
Inspiration often strikes from the unlikeliest of places in my everyday life. A passing glance, a chat with a stranger, or even a random thought can spark a wave of creativity and guide my artistic vision in a new, refined direction.
Film photography, in particular, holds a special place in my heart as it demands mindfulness and offers an authentic, unfiltered view of a moment. It's a feeling I aim to capture and convey through my digital imagery.
What motivates you to do what you do?
I have an unshakable passion for what I do, which is motivation in itself. Collaborating with dedicated vendors who pour their hearts into their craft is where the magic happens and seeing the result of this hard work is further motivation for me. It's the teamwork, the seamless fusion of talents, that brings a couple's unique vision to life. On the wedding day, I have the honour of witnessing pure happiness, hearing heartwarming stories, and capturing those meaningful glances between the couple. Being surrounded by love, joy, and laughter while calling it my job is an incredible privilege!
How would you describe your working style?
I thrive on meticulous organisation and effective communication during the preparation phases. My role is to provide support and ensure couples, planners, and vendors are confident and well-informed about their big day. This approach allows me to remain completely relaxed on the wedding day, knowing that everything is running smoothly, which in turn creates a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. I aim to be a friendly and unobtrusive presence, keeping the mood light and upbeat.
During portrait sessions, I guide couples in a way that feels natural, incorporating games and music to elicit genuine reactions. My ultimate goal is to make you feel at ease, completely wrapped up in the moment with your partner, so that your memories are filled with your love, sweet or humorous exchanges, and the way you gazed at each other.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
I shoot both! I do one complimentary roll of film for each wedding booked and offer as many extra rolls as the couple would like on the day.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
Absolutely! I offer every couple custom packages if my set packages don’t perfectly fit what you’re looking for.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
I love 35mm film for all the reasons I’ve mentioned - the authentic and nostalgic feel is just unmatched for me.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
I would absolutely love to capture weddings in Spain, England and around the US, particularly Utah and Arizona! There are so many incredible venues all around the world, but these two would be a dream to tick off!
Who is your dream client?
My ideal clients are couples who appreciate the aesthetics and finer details of their special day, yet prioritise the joy of being present in the moment. They embrace flexibility, infuse their day with unique and playful elements, have a keen eye for fashion, but above all, they wholeheartedly want to revel in the celebration with their friends and family, regardless of the time or place.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
So many things I could say here! I would definitely advise couples to capture mental snapshots of your day - big moments and small. While your gallery will preserve countless moments, taking small pauses to observe, be fully present, and imprint these real moments in your own memory will ensure that your big day stays etched in your heart for a lifetime.
