Tell us about your business!
I love being a photojournalist to my clients on their wedding day. In every wedding there are so many little stories happening simultaneously. Over the past 10 years, I have trained to observe the family dynamics, watch for certain moments by reading people, and help my clients to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Film has become the foundation of my business. Some of my biggest inspirations for my work this year are my grandparents' wedding photos. They only have 20 photos from their wedding day, and every single one of them is so perfect. I strive to create film photos that I feel deeply connected to, am extremely proud of, and capture the heart and soul of the day.
How would you describe your style?
Photojournalism and documentary.
What is your most memorable career moment?
Photographing a wedding in Tuscany, Italy and taking a photo of Kamala Harris with one of my couples.

Who is your dream client?

What motivates you to do what you do?
My own home movies and family albums. It’s such a gift that my mom would spend hours documenting my childhood. A lot of my core memories have been recorded on a VHS and on film. Being able to use old film cameras allows me to get the same aesthetic for my clients. The grain, tones, and colors all feel nostalgic and remind me of my own childhood. When I’m photographing a wedding I always try to remind myself that the art that I am creating will last generations and will be treasured for years to come.
What is a favourite service that you offer and why?
I’m starting to offer film only photography collections. Film makes me feel so connected to the images that I am creating for my clients. When I get my film scans back I feel a deep sense of purpose. Hopefully in a year or two I will be shooting completely on film and super 8.
