We are based in Naarm (Melbourne, Victoria).
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, please fly us to a new destination. We love travelling for weddings regionally, interstate and internationally.
How would you describe your style?
We aim for a stylish and romantic vibe, with spontaneous candid moments.
What is your most memorable career moment?
Photographing the same couple for their couple shoot, engagement party, wedding, pregnancy shoot and family portraits! Witnessing the arrival of new babies, seeing their kids grow up and documenting their love growing stronger with each passing year.
What inspires you?
The great thing about photography is that anything can act as inspiration. Whether actively searching for perfect photo moments or passively passing by there are always scenes that make you think “this would work perfectly for a shoot like this”. We also take inspiration from other photographers and have a Pinterest board for everything that inspires us, categorised by wedding timeline elements. This also acts as a helpful resource for couples.
What motivates you to do what you do?
The excitement we get from couples when we send them the completed gallery! Seeing our photos shared, printed and hung up on the wall by couples and knowing we have captured a very important moment of their life is a huge privilege.
How would you describe your working style?
We are not strict with posing and will often see what unfolds organically first. However, sometimes direction can elevate the scene and give us more creative options. Most of our direction is about light and space, rather than forcing unnatural poses.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
All of our packages include both digital and film. Modern digital cameras allow us to act quickly and capture all the details however, there is something special about the nostalgia and emotion of film that is hard to capture any other way.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
Yes, we have created a set of popular packages however, we can always tailor to suit the needs of each couple. We help guide you through the timeline of your day to ensure everything runs smoothly and we don’t miss any important moments.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
Full-day coverage. Being part of your day from preparing the small details, walking down the aisle and partying the night away is our favourite. We also love doing pre-wedding shoots because it gives more dedicated portrait time where we can really focus on capturing the best photos without any distractions or a strict timeline.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
San Francisco, Santorini and Tuscany are on our bucket list - however, really anywhere with beautiful scenery or great food!
Who is your dream client?
Any couple that trusts us and are open to new ideas. Couples that are happy to go with the flow whilst still bringing some of their own creative flare.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
When you are planning your wedding, engage with vendors that understand your vision and make sure you plan a run sheet that allows enough time between events to run smoothly without rushing.
Then on the day you shouldn’t have to think too much and focus on enjoying the best day ever.
