Our Studio aims to capture the authentic energy of the wedding day, with nothing staged. We have an energetic and imaginative approach, combining documentary photography and fashion editorial with the celebrational element of weddings.
What would you like couples to know about you?
We like: Aperol Spritz, the 80’s music and, above all, the work we chose: it always gives us the chance to meet new amazing people. That’s how lucky we are! We’re relaxed and discrete, moving with the natural flow of things and blending into the background - almost like one of your guests with a camera. We may make small suggestions, like portraits at dusk or when the light hits just right, but our main focus is capturing natural moments as they unfold.

How would you describe your style?
Our style is characterized by natural and fashionable vision. Daphne and Cristiana, the creative minds behind Ortica Wedding, have a passion for seamlessly blending various elements, including wedding reportage, fashion-inspired portraits, the play of natural light, and the use of flash photography.
What is your most memorable career moment?
We went abroad twice for destination weddings: the first time to New York and the second time to Playa del Carmen.
What inspires you?
People. Music, Other Photographers, Fashion: what we see and live everyday.
What motivates you to do what you do?
We love telling story and anyway we couldn't do anything else.
How would you describe your working style?
Shooting predominantly digital, mixed with a little film, we want to stop our couples’s memories in time and make a real contribution to the way they remember their wedding. We live in Italy: we “eat and breath” the Made In Italy. The fashion industry has a big influence on our work, and we strive to infuse every frame with a creative, editorial style. Most of all, we aim to create a collection of authentic images that are timeless and can be treasured for generations.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
We shoot both in digital and film formats.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
Absolutely! We love creating custom packages to fit the unique needs of each couple. We know that every wedding is one-of-a-kind, and we’re passionate about offering personalized services that match your vision and preferences. We'll work closely with our couples to ensure our photography captures the essence of their special day perfectly.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
One of our most beloved services is our elopement photography package. We are passionate about capturing the intimacy, spontaneity, and raw emotion of couples who choose to celebrate their love in a more personal and adventurous way. Elopements allow us to focus entirely on the couple and their unique story, often against the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes or romantic cityscapes. It's incredibly fulfilling for us to document these intimate moments and to create images that not only tell a beautiful story but also serve as lasting memories of a truly unforgettable day.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
Everywhere, the world is our oyster! We love intimate weddings and we often find them in Tuscany and Como Lake.

Our dream clients are couples who value authenticity, adventure, and emotion in their wedding photography. They are excited about creating unique, unforgettable moments in breathtaking locations around the world. They trust our creative vision and are open to unconventional ideas that capture their true essence and love story. These couples see their wedding not just as an event, but as an experience, and they want their photos to reflect the joy, spontaneity, and beauty of that journey.
How do you select music to your films?
When couples contact us, we ask them which song they would use to describe their wedding. We take this initial indication into account. Then, months later at their wedding, we actually experience the mood of the day. we breathe in its atmosphere and then choose the music.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
The wedding day is much more than an event that happens in one day. It's adventure, laughter, growth: it's life. It's a journey of memories and dreams for the future: it’s their present, in a way you had not even imagined could be possible. So the only thing they have to do is to think about living in the moment without worries.
