What would you like couples to know about you?
We are husband and wife, film and digital wedding photographers. We've been capturing weddings together since 2012 and married since 2013. We love what we do and feel incredibly privileged to be invited into your most special day. We are continually inspired by our couples and those who choose to get married in a way that feels true for them, prioritising what holds meaning and letting go of the rest.
Where are you based?
We are based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! We love travelling for weddings throughout Australia and have our passports at the ready for international bookings.
How would you describe your style?
Our style is relaxed and editorial with a focus on capturing how it felt in the moment. Taking a calm and unobtrusive approach, we allow moments to unfold naturally around us. We’re very inspired by the nostalgia and tones of film photography, preserving memories in a way that feels honest and imperfectly beautiful.
What is your most memorable career moment?
We have photographed a handful of weddings in Norway and getting to capture sunset portraits with the midnight sun is hard to beat.
What inspires you?
We are inspired by our couples, those who create a wedding that feels uniquely them, full of meaning and styling choices that reflect who they are. Film photography is also incredibly inspiring to us, the look and the feeling, the magic of not being quite sure how the end result will look.
What motivates you to do what you do?
We are motivated to create. We feel incredibly privileged to work together, doing something that invites us to be creative and capture the most special day of others.
How would you describe your working style?
It’s important to us to establish a meaningful and personal connection with our couples. This allows us to understand what is important to them and ensures we create images that reflect who they are as a couple and what you value. On the wedding day, we blend in, almost as guests with cameras, capturing the day authentically. When it comes to the photo time we offer just enough direction to help our couples feel comfortable and create space for them to be themselves.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
We shoot both film and digital and love bringing along our collection of vintage cameras.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
We love to create a tailored experience for our clients and happily create custom packages to suit their needs.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
We love offering film photography. We have an Analog Pack that includes rolls of 35mm film and medium format, Polaroids and a short Super 8 wedding film. There’s just something about film that captures a feeling that digital can’t and we are addicted to creating with film and seeing what we get.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
Honestly anywhere, we would love to see even more of Australia, but a wedding in Italy or elopement in Scotland would be a dream.
Who is your dream client?
Our dream client is someone who cares more about what is important to them than trends or traditions that don’t hold personal meaning. They desire for their wedding day to feel unique, creative and true to them. They fill their day with people and details and places and food that they love, whatever that looks like. For us that would be getting married in a beautiful garden and an afternoon of family style feasting at one long table with 20-30 of our most favourite people, under strings of lights.
