Tell us about your business!
We’re Isla and Eric, wedding and portrait photographers/videographers based in Melbourne. We’ve been in the wedding industry since April Fool's Day back in 2016. After witnessing over 400 weddings, we’re still very much in love with what we do and are truly grateful for those who chose us.
Where are you based?
We’re based in Melbourne, Australia, but would love to shoot weddings in every corner of the world.
Do you travel for weddings?
100%. It’s one of the perks of being a wedding photographer and videographer.
How would you describe your style?
Documentary styles with an editorial twist in dreamy, soft, muted tones.
What is your most memorable career moment?
Recently, we were invited back to a couple's home after they had a baby. As we stepped into their house, we saw a wall full of pictures that we took for them on their wedding day. The sight stirred deep emotions within us, and we found it incredibly heartwarming. To us, that trumps everything.
What inspires you?
All things in life pretty much, people, a good poster we see on the street, colours, designers, our pets, comedy, traveling, architecture and textures. Life is full of surprises! It’s all inspiration to us.
How would you describe your working style?
We’d say for 95% of the time, we typically hide behind the lens and quietly watch and document those unscripted, fleeting moments that unfold naturally in front of us. Having said that, we do provide gentle guidance when required - or if a couple is running behind schedule, we might step in and kindly give them a nudge!
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
Mainly digital. We do provide 35mm as an optional add-on since it's becoming increasingly popular among weddings.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
We have created a few popular packages based on experience. However, we believe every couple is different, and we encourage them all to have a chat with us upon booking so we can customise our packages based on their needs.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
We can’t really name one, because to us every couple is vastly different. We’d rather tailor our packages to fit their needs.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
While Scotland and Italy are on top of our list, we’re always happy to go anywhere our work takes us.
How do you select music to your films?
Our music selection is guided by the unique preferences of each couple and the overall atmosphere of the wedding. Our primary focus is on timeless music, aligning with our editorial style and incorporating modern elements for a well-rounded and contemporary touch.
