The Weddingdesign Studio is a full planning and design agency creating exceptional weddings in a highly aesthetic and contemporary style. I specialise in destination weddings in Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Canary Island, as well as the northern European countries including Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. I love stylish weddings with unique and individual touches, designed in a sophisticated and contemporary way.
What would you like couples to know about you?
As The Weddingdesign Studio stands for its bespoke approach to each wedding. I only take on a limited number of weddings every year to ensure each couples receives the complete care and focus they deserve. This allows me to invest in quality instead of quantity, offering my couples the best possibilities and creating something special on basis of their individual needs.
Where are you based?
In the city of Hamburg, Germany near the Baltic Sea.
Do you travel for weddings?
I travel for my couples from our base in Hamburg, out into this wonderful world. There are so many stunning and unseen places which wait to be discovered. I'm in love with different cultures, stories, art, architecture and nature. I speak a number of languages and love to be amongst locals gaining a deep and genuine understanding and appreciation for the places I visit.
How would you describe your style?
With a previous career in design, I work with a nuanced eye for perfection. Having a feel for colour palettes and materials due to many years of design experience, I am passionate about upcoming trends and bringing them into reality for my couples. Creating an intimate atmosphere full of joy, love and warmth is the most important key. I admire working in an anti-cliché style and designing something truly unique and stylish for my clients.
What is your most memorable career moment?
Following my heart by quitting my managerial job in the fashion and interiors industry, working with people and couples I love and being part of the most important moment in their lives. I feel so honoured that it doesn't feel like work, instead it's a matter of the heart. The adventure of planning a wedding always contains big moments. My most magical moments are always the smiles and the sparkle in the eyes of my couples, when they are overwhelmed by seeing the final wedding design on their special day.
What inspires you?
Seeing the world with warmth and open eyes, I am inspired by a lot of things. The true connection with people and the beauty of nature mean a lot to me. I love to transport feelings and create a special atmosphere which touches our senses in a new way,
What motivates you to do what you do?
I am motivated by creating a space full of joy and warmth with an extraordinary touch, which reflects my couples’ visions and their love story. I am motivated by my couples being able to be themselves in a breathtaking space, where they celebrate the most important event of their lives with their families and friends.
How would you describe your working style?
No wedding is like the other. I love to create anti-cliché weddings which reflect my couples personalities and love stories. Every couple should be free in their own special way to celebrate as they wish to, without “must do's” or traditions they don`t feel comfortable with. I have a nuanced eye for trends and mindful details, pouring a lot of love and passion into my designs.
On the other hand, I like to work in a free way, being creative, spending a lot in the nature, surrounding myself with beautiful things. Design and nature have always played a big role in the concept process, so I love the idea of connecting those elements into my couples weddings. The working process however, is always transparent and open minded between the whole team and my couples. This is the only way a design can truly come to life.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
The Weddingdesign Studio creates stylish events, such as civil wedding parties, elopements or entire wedding weekends - anywhere my couples like to spent their special day. I only offer full service planning, to make sure that every detail is executed to the high quality standard I stand for.
I follow a specific design guide created by The Weddingdesign Studio – meaning, we start by finding out specific location needs. Afterwards, we work on a design concept and plan every single element out in detail. As an experienced wedding designer and planner, I of course always have the budget in mind. Every wedding is tailored to my couples, this is what I truly love! I do care about details and plan them step by step together with my couples. This is a magical process for both myself and my couples.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
Everywhere my couples want to celebrate is welcome. In the heart of the city, amongst nature or in an architectural location – I'll be there to create a masterpiece, if you allow me to.
