Real Wedding | Alexandra + Charles

Tell us a little about yourselves!

Charles and I both live in Brooklyn, NY with our dog, Stella. We have been together for almost a decade. We feel like we have grown up together.

How many guests did you have?

Coming out of the pandemic we knew we wanted to travel. We also knew we wanted to create an intimate experience for ourselves and for our guests. Planning a destination wedding is challenging enough, so keeping the guest count small was key for us.

How many guests did you have?

22.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

The location! We wanted to create an intimate, immersive experience for our guests that also felt natural and effortless. The Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco was the perfect venue. It met all of our criteria. The resort is located in Montalcino, Tuscany, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Val d’Orcia. We rented a private villa and were able to host all of our events including the ceremony and the reception there.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Prioritize! Less is more. Our priorities were the location/venue, dress, and our photographer Stefano Santucci. We would have loved to have live music, but we had to prioritize, and ultimately we didn’t need a live band to throw a party!
