Tell us a little about yourselves!
Angela, born in the U.S. with Chinese roots, and Louis-Xavier from Québec, are both doctors living in Philadelphia. They fell in love with Provence and chose it as the perfect place to get married in the fall.
Angela has alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss, which she has bravely faced with the love and support of Louis. With his encouragement, she’s embraced her journey and found strength in accepting herself. She has such an incredible energy, warm smile, and easy-going and fun personality.
The couple met in college, and despite three years of long-distance during medical school, they always made each other a priority. Louis proposed during a romantic Cape Cod sunset in 2022, followed by a surprise engagement party. Angela and Louis’ relationship has been filled with laughter, adventure, mutual admiration, and unwavering support.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We chose Château de la Tour Vaucros in Provence because we loved the surroundings (close to Avignon), the gardens and the French chateau façade. It was also important for us to have all our guests with us on-site for the 3-day wedding.

What was your favourite moment from the day?
Looking back on our wedding day, I’m filled with gratitude and so many incredible memories. One of the most special moments was having my grandmother there. Last minute, we decided to include a tea ceremony in the morning to honor her and my heritage. It was a peaceful, intimate time spent with just our immediate family, and it set the tone for the rest of the day. I’m so glad we took that moment together.
We were also lucky to have one of our best friends officiate the ceremony, which added such a personal touch. We incorporated family speeches, and the entire ceremony felt like pure perfection—from the stunning flowers to the carefully chosen music. Everything came together better than I could’ve imagined.
One favorite memory is the little moment my husband and I stole between dinner and the party. I had an outfit change, and we slipped away to just reflect on how amazing everything was going. It was such a needed breather before dancing the night away with our guests.
Tell us about your outfits.
For our wedding at a gorgeous Château de la Tour Vaucros in Provence, France, we wanted our outfits to feel timeless and classic while staying true to ourselves. We also wanted our guests to have a fun, stress-free experience, and we were so thrilled that everyone was able to stay on the venue site with us for two nights and three days—it felt like one big, amazing slumber party. It was everything we could have hoped for.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Angela’s love for color and her Chinese heritage shone through, especially in an intimate Chinese tea ceremony, creating a special memory to honor her roots.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Our biggest piece of advice? Have fun! This is such a special moment in your life, and it’s about you and your partner. Make decisions together and create a day that feels like the two of you. Whether it’s the music, the decor, or the flow of the day, let it reflect your personalities. After all, that’s what will make your wedding day truly unforgettable.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
All the vendors, including our photgraphers and videographers Alchemia, were amazing and carefully selected by our wedding planner Despinoy Wedding, who truly understood our vision. We had complete trust in all the choices she helped us make.
