Tell us a little about yourselves!
We met almost 15 years ago. Two people who were fiercely independent. They never saw themselves becoming one, but always new there was something there.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We wanted something intimate to celebrate our union. Flora Gibson was the perfect fit. We had a ceremony with our family and friends in ATL and then our ceremony with Flora. We have both done some much work on ourselves, that it was important for our wedding to be a private moment for us as well.
How many guests did you have?
Just the two of us, and Flora.
Tell us about your outfits.
Gabrielle had multiple dress changes. She is an actress and has a flare for the dramatic. She didn’t miss a beat. Corey designed his tux himself and had it custom made. It even had special details like our wedding date under the collar.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
That the wedding be a representation of who WE are. Not what everyone else wanted. People thought it was very strange that we were having a wedding AND our session with Flora, but we wanted the best of both worlds.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Music! We fell in love listening to music together on the couch. We had two different taste in music and got to know each other over sharing our different styles.
Any tips for couples getting married, particularly during the pandemic?
Keep what you want, forget the rest. This is a day for the two of you as a couple. You won’t have any regrets when you choose what the two of you want!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
Forage Vintage Rentals created a beautiful picnic for us at sunset. It was the best way to end our session with Flora and enjoy the view! Not to mention, it was stunning.
