Real Wedding | Haley & Triston

Tell us a little about yourselves!

Triston and I met in high school. I always say it’s the weirdest thing about my life - finding love (my soulmate at that) SO early in life. We both went to college near Austin, Tx and moved in together in Austin shortly after. We love to travel and got engaged in Positano, Italy after 8 years together.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We always envisioned having a destination wedding of sorts (not in Texas). We originally looked at going abroad, but ultimately wanted our family members to attend without the stress of an overseas flight. Our family is from all over the US so we didn’t feel tied to a specific state. We knew we wanted it completely outside and somewhere with an amazing view. I found Cielo Farms through a photo I had pinned years ago and it was the perfect place!

How many guests did you have?

65. All close friends and family.

What was your budget?

50k… and we did not stick to that!

Tell us about your outfits.

My ceremony dress is by House of Renhue, I also ordered lace from them to have the sleeves custom made. The lace trim, 3-tier veil was also custom made by Toni Federici. Paired with ivory patent leather Prada kitten heels. I’m obsessed with how it all came together!

My reception dress is by Cinq. This was the first dress I ever tried on, I was in LA by myself and knew I had to have it. I know it might be untraditional to change into another full length gown as a second dress but it was perfect. I frolicked and danced in it all night.

Triston’s suit was custom by Suit Supply. He chose the color and designed it himself! He added an ivory dress shirt, a black bowtie and Prada black saffiano leather loafers.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

I wanted to make sure it didn’t feel like going through the motions of just any other wedding. We’ve been together and  fully committed to each other for quite a while now, this was truly a day to celebrate us and do whatever we wanted! It was also super fun for me creatively to design something so full out at this level of production.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

I wanted it to be very “us” and basically have a hand in every single selection. My planner, Carly Rae Weddings, really made sure my visions came to life. I also worked really closely with our paper goods vendor to have it all feel right. Triston’s mom sells antiques (Pocket Full Of Heirlooms) and we used multiple of her pieces, the vintage frames, easel, and gorgeous clam shells on our welcome table, which made it feel very us.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Truly just focus on how you want the day to feel for you two! The people you love will enjoy it just as much.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

How the day would be captured was super important to me. Once I came across Margaret Wroblewski’s work and how she spoke about it like the art that it is, I was set! I also felt very strongly about having a true vintage film photobooth. It rocked!
