Real Wedding | Hannah + Harry

Tell us a little about yourselves!

We met in 2016 in Los Angeles. We were neighbors (Harry lived below me) and we first connected when he hit my roommate’s car. We didn’t speak for a long time after, until we matched on Bumble and I did not recognize him as my neighbour. It wasn’t until he planned a date just down the street that I made the connection of who he was. Now we live with our two French Bulldogs. Harry is a screenwriter and I work as the head of marketing for a beauty brand.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We met in LA and this is home for us. We wanted the wedding to have a California feel since our love story has unfolded here and decided to stay at Santa Monica Proper Hotel. Our wedding was planned by Thread Events Co. with whom we had initially organised a larger celebration.

How many guests did you have?

Just the two of us!

Tell us about your outfits.

We decided to elope last minute, so we ordered something quick and more casual. I wore a dress by Amanda Uprichard and Tony Bianco shoes from Revolve. I also had a white bouquet by Fox Glove Los Angeles.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

Our photos by Jamie Street from Rad and In Love - since we were alone together for our elopement, we wanted everyone who couldn’t be there to get a good sense for the day.

Any tips for couples getting married, particularly during the pandemic?

Embrace the opportunity make things more intimate if needed - and strip away anything that is just background noise!
