Tell us a little about yourselves!
We are Jorge and Marta, an architect and a photographer from Madrid. Marta has lived in Mallorca for a long time and has a special connection with the Balearic Islands, which is why we decided to celebrate this big day on the island.
We met 7 years ago at a mutual friend's party, in the kitchen (where the best things happen). There was an instant spark that we both remember, but it took a few months before we met again, and then, forever.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
Life is meant to be celebrated! We believe that living only makes sense if it's shared, and it’s a blessing that we found each other, and that’s worth celebrating.
How many guests did you have?
195 in total. Nous Nous captured our day.
What was your budget?
We spent almost twice what we had initially planned, but when it comes to celebrating, you either go all in or not at all!
Tell us about your outfits.
Marta's was from the Marta Martí collection My Universe, personalized and deconstructed as the evening went on. We had an instant connection from day one. I decided immediately, maybe too quickly, but I felt right away that Marta Wall was a 100% a Marta Martí bride.
Jorge's suit was a custom-made linen suit with a double-breasted jacket and a linen shirt with a reinforced bib. Old Jeffrey made the suit with special care and attention, respecting my style and taking it a step further with the double-breasted jacket and all the details.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
The great inspiration was the quarry itself, its materials, the idea of construction and process, linked to the construction of a relationship.
We managed to capture what represents us on this day: enjoying a unique place, tasting local products with the best preparations, and conveying to our guests all the love we have for each other and have put into this process.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
For us, everything related to art and creativity is very important, so we added waxes for painting on the tablecloths, we sang during the cocktail as a surprise for our friends, projected cinematic images during dinner, and Marta opened the party with a DJ set.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Celebrate for several days, because one day is not enough! It goes by too fast.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
María Solivellas from Ca na Toneta prepared a special proposal based on local and proximity products, aiming to convey the essence of the islands with dishes, that were a key element both gastronomically and in their presentation.
I didn't want to carry a traditional flower bouquet. One afternoon with my best friend Mar from Vidrio Studio, it occurred to me that it could be made of blown glass, designed by her. She handed it to me on the wedding day, just as I entered into the ceremony, creating a special moment for both of us that we will never forget.
