Real Wedding | Nina & Iago

Tell us a little about yourselves!

We are Nina and Iago from Barcelona. We love sports, and that's how we met. I’m more of an outdoors person, while Iago prefers a good, long meal. But spending time with our family and friends is what truly defines us.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We got married in Galicia, since Iago’s whole family is from there, and we were excited to go beyond Catalonia for our wedding. Specifically, we chose San Tirso because it’s the perfect example of a traditional Galician pazo—a beautiful mix of greenery and historic charm.

How many guests did you have?

In the end, we had 180 guests. We had many more initially, but due to the distance, over 40 couldn’t make it.

What was your budget?

We didn’t have a fixed budget at the start; we just knew how much we wanted to spend on each aspect and what we could do without. In the end, it came to around 60K, allocated to the things that mattered most to us.

Tell us about your outfits.

I didn’t want a princess look, so I chose something I could easily wear as a guest in any other color. The only thing I was sure about was the hair bow—that was decided first. The rest came naturally between the designer and me. I wanted an design with two different fabrics, lots of lace, and a raw silk base.

Iago is more traditional than I am; from the start, he knew he wanted a dark blue suit with a grey vest. He even made his own cufflinks, and all the jewelry at the wedding, designed by him, was from his jewelry line.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

The most important thing for me was the decor and the aesthetic of everything—that’s what defines me most. For Iago, it was the food; in Galicia, eating and drinking well is essential.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Since the wedding had a cocktail style, it was important to have a special entrance to the reception. That’s why we incorporated flags with the wedding insignia and our logo.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Make your day exactly what you want it to be, don’t settle for less. Enjoy every moment and every decision, and dance and smile until the very end.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Our photographers Petit de la Crème, wedding planner Con Tacones y de Boda, band Grandio, videographer Pixelecer, and hair stylist Salón Marina Allegue were all amazing. Yhonatan, Yolanda, Grandío, Damián, and Marina, you did more than I could have ever imagined!
