Real Wedding | Sarah + Greg

Tell us a little about yourselves!

We are two creative people living in Brooklyn! We met in 2017, and being both Northeast kids, we hit it off! Greg is a Producer and Sarah is a Photographer.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We loved FringeArts and how unique it was. It allowed for indoor and outdoor use, great food and drinks and allowed us to work with a local theatre company, that is great for the community and local artists.

How many guests did you have?

180.

Tell us about your outfits.

We went for simple, sophisticated, and unique outfits. I also wore a ton of family pieces such as my Mothers veil and Grandmothers earrings.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

We wanted to do it together and it feel personal! Greg designed our website and save the dates. We worked together to pick all the vendors, and make sure the day felt like us as much as we could!

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

We wanted the wedding to feel like an extension of who we are. We included lots of personal elements; a letter to our guests, notes at people's dinner settings, personal notes to each other, etc. We wanted people to understand us a little better after leaving. We wanted family style food and long tables, so people could talk and make friends. Lastly we wanted documentary style wedding photography (by Kindred) to really capture the day.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Think about what's most important to both of you, and do that. Don't be afraid to make it your own, and

push the boundaries. This is for you. Last thing, hire people you like and trust. Ours were true artists, and have no become friends.
