Tell us a little about yourselves!
Trè and I's journey began in high school, where we first crossed paths and kindled a romantic relationship. Although we went our separate ways, we always remained connected. Fast forward a few years, and our paths converged once again, rekindling the sparks that had never truly faded. From that point on, our story took a new direction, filled with the warmth of familiarity and a second chance. Our renewed relationship blossomed into something deeper and more profound than we could have ever imagined. The time apart seemed to only strengthen our bond, as we reconnected with a newfound sense of maturity and understanding for each other. It's not just a cliché to say that life has its own plans; in our case, it meant bringing us back together when we knew we were meant for each other.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
The concept of an intimate gathering with our nearest and dearest resonated deeply with us. Opting for a registry wedding felt like the ideal choice, aligning perfectly with our vision of a close-knit celebration, For us, skipping a reception and having an intimate dinner just for the two of us felt right. We decided to spend the night at Crown Towers, making our wedding truly about us.
How many guests did you have?
We had 55 guests at our ceremony.
Tell us about your outfits.
With just a tight 2-month timeline to organise everything, we opted for mostly preloved items that we revitalised for our wedding attire. Among them, the veil held a special place in my heart. Crafted by hand, it was designed to capture the essence of the mantilla-style veils that had captured my admiration during my past travels to Italy. Walking down the aisle in a Carla Zampatti dress held an extra layer of sentimentality, as it was a beautiful transformation of my sister's high school formal dress! Repurposing the dress not only brought a touch of nostalgia but also symbolised the enduring bond between us as we have been close since we were little. It was a heartfelt way to honour our shared memories while creating new ones on my wedding day.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
Our primary focus when planning our wedding centred around the concept of intimacy and togetherness. With a ceremony attended exclusively by our close friends and family, we aimed to create a shared experience that reflected our deep connections. Following the ceremony, our reception was an intentionally private affair, solely for the two of us. This emphasis on intimacy allowed us to truly relish each moment of our wedding day, cherishing the company of our loved ones during the ceremony and then having precious time alone to celebrate our union.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Prioritizing comfort over style was key for me! Being a few months pregnant at the time, I expressed the importance of truly savouring every moment on my wedding day without being preoccupied by unnecessary details or discomfort.
Any tips for couples getting married?
