Tell us a little about yourselves!
We have known each other for 13 years and just like a lot of other couples, we started out as friends.
Many people would say we’re pretty different but it works for us (on good days!). Despite being together for 4 years, our differences remained intact, but we found inspiration in each other and have grown to become somewhat alike in certain aspects.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We chose Ross Farm as our ceremony place. We thought of a million ways to celebrate this day and the choice of our venue happened by accident. We saw it on socials, and we immediately fell in love with the place! The Wabi-Sabi kind of vibes really got us. We ended up spending three days there, and our ceremony fell on one of these days.
How many guests did you have?
We didn’t have any guests. We wanted this day to be intimate and just to enjoy each other’s company.
What was your budget? (If you are comfortable disclosing)
We didn’t really set a limit.
Tell us about your outfits.
Vivienne: I didn’t feel like wearing any wedding gown. And I didn’t want to get something I would only wear once. So I chose all the outfits I would wear on a normal day, but with a little bit of extra glitz. I played a bit of mix and match when preparing my outfits, like an extra-long veil to go with a plain white Carla Zampatti suit, or Louis Vuitton gumboots and leather gloves to go with a fancy organza dress.
Anthony: Black and white to keep it simple. Something classic, something that’s myself.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
The less like a traditional wedding, the better. We really focused on making sure that the day wass about us, not what is expected of us.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Vivienne: My dogs. Sadly, they couldn’t be there.
Anthony: Whiskey and cigars!
Any tips for couples getting married?
Vivienne: Just relax, go with the flow, and enjoy the whole thing! YES, it’s definitely an important day, but its also just one of the many days in your life, its totally fine to be imperfect.
Anthony: Shut up and always listen to the Bride!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
We would like to recommend our photographer Isla and videographer Eric from Emotions and Math. They are incredible and got everything we wanted. Perfect team to work with. To all couples who are planning your wedding now, getting a good photographer and videographer for your wedding is definitely the most worth thing to do!
