Tell us a little about yourselves!
Matt and I have been together for three years. We met sitting next to each other at a New York Rangers game! Total meet-cute moment, and the rest is history.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We picked Wildflower Farms because we really wanted our wedding to feel like a full weekend getaway, not just a four-hour event. It’s only about 90 minutes from NYC, but it feels like you’re in another world. From the moment our guests arrived on the farm, they were immersed in the beauty of the hotel, their cabins, the fire pits, the list goes on. It really is the most serene and relaxing setting and we loved that they did not have to worry about a thing until they left. We wanted our guests to feel like they were on vacation with us.
How many guests did you have?
53 guests! We wanted to keep it intimate and private. We kept our guest list exclusively to immediate family and our closest friends. I am so happy we made this decision because the weekend truly felt so well curated for our closest loved ones.
Tell us about your outfits.
On Friday and Saturday, I got ready with my sisters and we all wore Danielle Frankel Lounge - the dreamiest getting ready looks. I fell in love with Danielle’s lounge sets from the moment I saw them and wanted something comfortable and classic (but with an edge) for all of us.
For the Welcome BBQ on Friday, I wore a cozy-chic Danielle Frankel Silk Cashmere & Lace Dress, and Matt wore a custom checkered Michael Andrews Bespoke jacket that totally set the tone for the weekend.
On the big day, I wore a lace and silk gown with classic Manolo Blahnik ’s that felt super romantic and timeless. Matt wore a custom tartan tux from Michael Andrews Bespoke. Classic with a twist!
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
It was important that the weekend in it’s entirety felt like us. From the vibe to the small details, not only was the guest experience top of mind but we wanted to create a celebration that felt personal and true to who we are as a couple.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
We were inspired by the natural beauty of Wildflower Farms, so we wanted to bring that feel into everything with lots of lush greenery, textures, and a soft, organic palette. It was all about blending the indoors and outdoors in a seamless way. We worked closely with our planners and designers, Mudari
Creative, to come up with unique, elevated and tasteful designs throughout the weekend that really captured the overall vibe we were looking for.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Follow your intuition and let your day be a reflection of you. From the tableware, to the ceremony florals, to the flavor of your cake - every detail should tell your story and not just mirror a trend. We chose elements that held meaning for us, even investing in decor we knew we’d use in our home. It’s a thoughtful way to turn wedding day details into conversation pieces and memories into part of your home and life together.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
LES Collection! We fell in love with their Ribbon Collection plates and knew we had to incorporate them into our reception. They added such a beautiful, elevated touch to the tablescape and truly one of our favorite design details of the entire weekend.
