Tell us a little about yourselves!

We love creating special moments together, whether it’s enjoying the calm waters of Lake Geneva or sharing a meal with close company. Our international experiences have shaped the way we connect with the world and each other, and we cherish the diversity that comes with it. At the heart of it all, it’s about deep connections, curiosity, creativity, and simply being present with each other.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Even though we both come from abroad, Geneva has become our home. It’s the city where we met each other, where we built our new life together, and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We couldn’t imagine having our civil wedding anywhere else.

How many guests did you have?

We invited a small group of 7 people—our closest family and best friends. We wanted to share this day with the people who mean the most to us, ensuring we had enough time for everyone and could truly experience these special memories together. Part of the Inga's family joined the ceremony online from Ukraine, as they were unable to be with us in person.

What was your budget?

We kept our budget reasonable at around 8,000 CHF. With a small guest list, a relaxed schedule, and by making the most of upcycled or second hand pieces, we managed to keep expenses low. This let us splurge where it mattered most to us: on the delicious food that made the day even more special!

Tell us about your outfits.

The goal was a chic, minimalist vibe, with a color scheme centered around white and light blue. The groom wore shoes that made a statement: classic in style, but with a modern twist, as if dipped in blue paint.

The bride wore a stunning, modern dress paired with black boots, adding a rebellious, rock-inspired edge, and topped with a long veil. Crafted from second-hand fabric, the veil added a raw, unique beauty to the entire look.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

For us, the most important thing was to enjoy the planning process and have fun along the way. We turned each task into an activity, game, or date, which helped us unlock our full creative potential. In the end, the journey became even more meaningful than the wedding day itself and deepened our bond as a couple.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Interactions and shared moments were the most important to us. Whether through meals or activities, we wanted to ensure we had time to connect with everyone. We also wanted to bring together all our favorite people so they could meet, share, and bond with each other as well.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Don’t underestimate the importance of planning your wedding. Take your time and enjoy each part of the planning—it’s a chance to create lasting memories with your spouse along the way.

Also, remember, it’s your wedding, and you’re the one in control. Don’t let traditions or anyone else tell you what it should look like. This day is about you and the people you love, so make it yours in every way.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Our evening dinner at Bleu Nuit was the one thing we knew we wanted from the very beginning. It wasn’t a traditional wedding dinner, but more of an unconventional celebration with family and friends, filled with delicious and creative dishes to share—perfectly reflecting the atmosphere of the day.

An unexpected beautiful surprise was our photographer Annabelle— Coucoustudio.love. We wanted to share the mood and creativity of the day through the pictures, and could not imagine that it would be such a fit. We forged a beautiful personal connection from the first meeting. It allowed us to really relax, enjoy ourselves and make the photos come out beyond our expectations.
