Wedding | Sam & Logan

Tell us a little about yourselves!

Sam and Logan’s love story is a perfect mix of creativity, intention, and a little bit of serendipity. Living near the beach in Orange County, we’ve built a home filled with love, laughter, and our cherished cats. As a floral designer and content creator in the wedding and marketing space, I thrive on bringing artistic visions to life, while Logan, who works in the plumbing industry, proves that opposites really do attract.

Our wedding at Penny Lane Ranch was a true reflection of our unique dynamic love—romantic yet effortlessly cool. From handpicked florals to heirloom jewelry, every detail carried deep personal meaning, making our day as unforgettable as our love.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We got married out in the desert because there were more venues with less regulations so we could truly plan the wedding of our dreams. We also got engaged in Joshua Tree, so it felt special to get married out there.

How many guests did you have?

We had 85 guests, each of whom we knew personally and well. It was important to us that everyone there held a meaningful place in our lives. Keeping our guest list intimate made the day feel more relaxed and allowed us to be fully present with everyone, making the celebration even more special.

What was your budget?

We set out budget to around $45K! We had lots of help from brands gifting us services and goods which allowed us to execute our dream wedding.

Tell us about your outfits.

My ceremony dress was a custom-fitted Reev Bridal gown from a Ukrainian designer. It was the perfect blend of my two favorite dresses—at a fraction of the price. To make it even more special, the designer created a custom silk scarf to pair with it.

Logan’s tux was from The Black Tux, and he had his heart set on an off-white blazer. I sourced a vintage gold “L” pin for him to wear alongside a boutonniere I made for him the day of. His tie was something I had found long before we were engaged—I just knew it would be for my future husband.

For the reception, I wore a Wiederhoeft sequin dress, which was truly love at first sight. I first spotted it while wedding dress shopping at Loho Bride in West Hollywood. As I was leaving, I saw it and couldn’t stop thinking about it. A couple of weeks later, I went back to try it on—and that was it. I was the first person to purchase and wear the dress from the designer to a wedding.

Logan’s reception top was from Tombolo, a brand known for its unique, embroidered, gender-neutral designs. The details on his shirt were incredible—right down to the champagne button.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

It was so important to us that every detail felt personal and intentional, not just included because it was trendy. We wanted to ensure that we both truly loved each concept and that every element had meaning, rather than being there just for the sake of it.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Florals and tabletop design were especially important to me because of the businesses I own. Being able to fully express my creativity through these elements was not only fun but incredibly rewarding. Every arrangement and detail felt like an extension of my artistry, making our wedding feel even more personal and meaningful.

We also wanted to incorporate sentimental touches that honored our families. One of the most special details was displaying our parents’ wedding photos. It was a beautiful way to pay tribute to the love stories that came before ours and a reminder of the legacy of commitment we are continuing. Seeing those photos throughout the day made everything feel even more heartfelt and connected.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Make sure that everything feels unique and personal to you vs. following current wedding trends. That is truly the secret to a timeless wedding.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Our entire media team was absolutely amazing. Petite Cherry, our digital photographer Tessa Marie, and Molly Alison—you truly captured the essence of our wedding, not just for us but for our guests as well. Having you there was such a joy, and I’m not just saying that because we’re friends. You treated our wedding day with the same care and dedication as if it were your own, going above and beyond in every way. We couldn’t have asked for a better team.
